Are we participants in this forum because of bouts of "loneliness"?
by Wonderment ini wonder how many of us here hold on to this meeting place out of "loneliness.
could it be that we harbor feelings of "abandonment" and "loneliness" from being left cold and dry by the wt people and our families?
perhaps we do have a need to reach out to people with similar experiences.

This site really serves as a ''heads up'' I believe for not just posters, but a great many of active/involved JW's who are just lurking trying to get fuel for their doubts. -

There's a vast amount of money tied up in the Churches. The Governments know this. Should the World Government ever get in a dire pinch for money. You just never know what could happen!!!! -

What is the Latest JW Teaching on the Last Days and 1914
by Distracted ini was just wondering what the witnesses are saying now about the last days and how they know armageddon is real close, etc.
what is the latest teaching about 1914?

The term ''Last Days'' is/was supposed to be a short period of time. Not a century or more. -

Revelation - it's grand climax is at hand
by Listener insome people point out the subliminal pictures in the wtbts publications but sometimes things are just so obvious, such as the title of the book above.. the person who came up with the title for this book must have had a good old laugh.. interestingly, this book first came out in 1988 and has not been included in the online library but nothing has replaced it.
the org is really going backwards when they ditch old light and cannot come up with anything new.
they are real wankers ;)..

I don't know how many times that Revelation Climax book was revised. I'd have to wonder if the average JW was confused about the many doctrinal changes with that book. For me it was the utmost confusing. -

Just saw this video, just goes to show you how the elders lie...JW Elder's Response To My DA Letter
by goingthruthemotions insaw this video of a brave woman who gave a da letter and an elder tries to talk with her.
this guy comes across has full of shite, and you know he would be a different person if there were other elders around with him.
kangaroo court jokers is what comes to my mind.

I just think sometimes that elders have no conscience. When you see things like this. When told you have to obey instructions from the WBTS over and above the ''Laws of the Land'', makes you wonder how do elders sleep at night!! -

My first post
by thewalker inhi, i just joined the board and wanted to present myself.. i'm active, in fact very active in congregation activities serving "where the need is great" in a foreign language congregation somewhere in western europe.
as a young brother, i'm seen as an example as i'm doing all a good witness should do.. i had doubts years ago but i decided just to ignore them and move to another congregation to preach more.
that worked for some years but i'm now at the exact same point.

Yeah, agreed!! Fear and unquestioning ''obedience'' is clearly what keeps the JW's inline. Fear of being disfellowshipped. Fear of being shunned by family, close friends. Fear of dying at Armageddon. Fear of elders. Fear of.....well.
Once you're over this ''fear'' your mind becomes more clear. You start to think independently and develop ''critical thinking'' skills. These ''skills'' are what enable people to examine half-truths and realize that evidence outweighs things at face value!!

Preach or Tithe- Publishers choice
by All for show inmy siblings and i have been talking about the money woes.
we have thrown around the idea for them to keep the preaching/pioneer arrangement to keep some busy.
to increase cash flow they can institute a new tithing arrangement.

The Borg is very thoughtful, clever at implementing things I find. With the new bible ''silver sword'' released 2years ago, I do believe the word ''tithe'' is fitted very nicely somewhere in there.
Since the Borg can fit things to fit their own teachings, they can simply have a WT study on giving ''to Jehovah'' and point out there it is, ''tithe''. Voila, there you go.

The Borg is tax exempt because they are technically classified as a ''religious charity''. A multi-billion dollar business disguised as a religion. A huge corporation of sorts which takes advantage of every perk that a religious group receives. They take every advantage of this ''tax free'' break and give absolutely nothing back to those who grant this ''tax free'' break. Just imagine the money you as a person in the workforce would save if you didn't have to pay taxes. Well, with the Borg, the money they save with ''tax exempt'' status is probably more than a working person can imagine.
